Other cultural alliance publications
Publications The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance produces timely, relevant publications about and for the arts and culture sector in the greater Philadelphia region. These include a quarterly newsletter, Arts and Culture Advocate; the annual Cultural Resource Directory, the go-to guide for information on the region’s cultural community; and an annual report. In addition to these publications, the Cultural Alliance has also released several nationally-recognized reports about the state of the region’s nonprofit arts and cultural sector. These include: Arts, Culture, and Economic Prosperity in Greater Philadelphia (2007), an economic impact study based on local findings from Americans for the Arts' Arts & Economic Prosperity III; Arts and Culture in the Metropolis, Strategies for Sustainability, a RAND Corporation study co-sponsored with the William Penn Foundation, which examines structures of support for the arts in 11 cities and makes findings and recommendations for Philadelphia; Portfolio (First edition, 2006), an unprecedented and in-depth look at the scope of the Philadelphia non-profit cultural sector, based on data from 218 organizations. For the 2008 Portfolio, the Alliance is planning a ten-year comparison, looking at the growth of the arts and cultural sector from 1998-2008. |
