    Birmingham News Quote from NEA Chairman, Dana Gioia about the Louisiana Philharmonic and its home, the Orpheum Theatre “A recent report said that culture is the second largest industry in Louisiana, after oil,” says Gioia. “(Louisiana Philharmonic) musicians are out of work. Many have lost their instruments. The theater is not usable, and the scores have probably been lost.
