Organizations or individual artists may apply to the 5-County Arts Fund if they meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Request for grant award does not exceed $5,000 (This refers to the grant request only; total project costs may exceed this amount.).
- Project or program to be funded involves artists (directly or indirectly).
- Project or program to be funded will take place in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia counties.
- Projects or program to be funded will take place between September 1, 2003, and August 31, 2004, and will be open and available to the general public.
Organizational applicants must meet one of the following requirements (these requirements do not apply to individual artists):
- Exemption from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) or 509(a) of the Internal Revenue Code;
- Eligibility to receive donations allowable as charitable contributions under Section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended;
- Organization is a unit of a government or school;
- Organization has recently applied for exemption from Federal Income Tax;
- Organization is newly formed and considering incorporation as a non-profit (organizations can only apply in this situation for two years).
