The Campaign for Culture was conceived in 2000 as a natural outgrowth of the Cultural Alliances mission to increase positive awareness, participation and support of cultural organizations among community leaders, audiences and the general public. The Campaign includes 7 key initiatives including the PhillyFunGuide.com events calendar, PhillyFunGuide.com FunSavers, the Philadelphia Cultural List Cooperative, a cooperative advertising program, marketing roundtables, a co-mentorship program, and several other new and upcoming initiatives. More details on all the programs are within this section of the website.
The electronic marketing initiatives at the heart of the CampaignPhillyFunGuide.com and FunSaversare now firmly established in the minds of consumers and cultural organizations in the region. The popular PhillyFunGuide.com FunSavers have generated more than $1.3 million in new revenue for arts and culture organizations, and 70% of FunSavers ticket-buyers are first-time patrons to the venues
In other Campaign highlights, the mailing list co-op program is now the largest in the country with 66 participantsprimarily small and medium-size organizations that will benefit not just from the cost savings and efficiency of a joint program, but also the expertise of the larger groups participating in the co-op. This year marks a new era in the campaign with the scheduled launch of the new powerful eMerge database system scheduled for January 2007. eMerge will drastically expand participants ability to directly pull up queries from a live 24 hours database. Even better, the new digital system will drastically lower cost for list pulls.
The programs under the Campaign for Culture have already successfully satisfied many of the goals of the Alliance. Arts awareness has grown, our members have seen greater participation by consumers, and the marketing capacity of our members has improved. As we move forward, we will continue our efforts at promoting participation in arts and culture in our region.
