Museum Week Offers Discounts, Specials

(April 24, 2009) - Fifty-five regional museums will offer special discounts on admission, shopping and other amenities in a city-wide celebration encouraging residents and visitors to appreciate the role museums play in our city’s cultural sector.

“There are 93 museums in the region — and many of those are way out in the suburbs — so to have 55 museums participating is an excellent indication of local interest,” Mr. McInerney said. “This is a great way to highlight the importance of the arts to our community, as tracked through various releases from the Cultural Alliance documenting attendance and revenue generated from the cultural sector.”
