Priced-Out? Panel Discussion Explores Why Concert Tickets Have Grown so Expensive

The Kal and Lucille Rudman Institute for Entertainment Industry Studies will host a panel discussion on Thursday, November 17th at 7 PM, in Bossone's Mitchell Auditorium. It will address music concert ticket sales, an increasingly important revenue source for artists and record labels in this age of declining recorded music purchases.

Presented in partnership with the LeBow College of Business, our distinguished panel includes:

-Tom Moon, an author and former Philadelphia Inquirer (Moderator)
-Sean Agnew, concert promoter, founder of R5 productions a
-Josh Baron, co-author of Ticketmasters and editor of Relix; 
-David Cooper, founder of Pearl Jam tour ticketing, ETM, FT&T and Direct to Fan; 
-Jim McCafferty, Ticketing Director of the The Mann Center for Performing Arts.
 
The event is free and open to the public.  
 
Afterwards, in the lobby, Josh Baron will sign copies of his book Ticket Masters: The Rise of the Concert Industry and How the Public Got Scalped
