Montgomery County Award Recipients
Temple Judea Museum | $3,000
Temple Judea will use their Project Stream grant for Fabric of Memory, an art project using fabrics, photographs, objects and ephemera to explore American identity and community as part of the “Fighting from the Sidelines” exhibit.

Positive Aging in Lower Merion (PALM) | $2,000
The PALM center holds a unique and creative weaving class taught by an occupational therapist and specifically designed for their most frail and physically and vision impaired participants. Students learn the basics of how to weave on a treadle loom while developing greater dexterity. Fibers and yarns are discussed, and students will warp a loom before weaving their first projects.

Manor College Ukrainian Heritage Study Center | $2,750
The Manor College Ukrainian Heritage Studies Center and Branch 88 of the Ukrainian National Women's League of America will host an exhibit of Gerdany, traditional Ukrainian beadwork.

ACPPA Community Art Center | $2,197
ACPPA’s Community Arts Center’s Community Mural Project engages the diverse population of Norristown in creating art that depicts their collective voice while strengthening interpersonal connections and building community.

Art for Justice | $3,000
The Road Map for Life Workshop, organized by Art for Justice in Montgomery County, is an arts program that also provides life skills training for twelve high risk youth and culminates in an art exhibit.

SRUTI, The India Music & Dance Society | $2,750
Grant helps fund Sruti Day, an annual community event showcasing Indian classical music and dances by local artists and students of the arts.

Friends of Music at St. Thomas' | $1,262
Friends of Music at St. Thomas will present a summer series of free community concerts featuring the 48-bell manual carillon of St. Thomas' Church, along with other regional performing artists.

The Jazz Bridge Project | $2,750
The Jazz Bridge Project will be producing their second season of eight monthly neighborhood jazz concerts at the Cheltenham Center for the Arts.

Borough of Lansdale | $1,811
The Borough will present the Music On Main Street, a lunchtime concert series held in Lansdale's downtown Railroad Plaza consisting of seven free performances held on Wednesdays at noon.

The Project Stream grants program is made possible through the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency. They are funded by the citizens of Pennsylvania through an annual legislative appropriation, and adminstered locally by the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance. The Pennsylvania Council on the Arts is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Additional support for this program is provided by PECO.
