Diversifying Your Audience: The Financial Argument
Diversifying audiences has always been a goal of most arts and culture organizations, "because it's the right thing to do". Now, with changes in the population diversification is a crucial financial move to keep organizations sustainable.
Diversifying audiences is a key strategy in engaging our communities, and building our audiences. Future audiences do not look like our current audiences and should not according to the census data. With the Asian population being the fastest growing, and states like California almost having a mojority of Latinos over white americans, we can be sure that diversifying is more than a "should do", it is a "must do"!
