One of the most important - and memorable - experiences as a student is going on a field trip to the museum. In Pennsylvania, there are over 60,000 school group visits to our state's cultural groups, bringing 3.5 million students in direct contact with an arts or historical experience.
One detail stands in the way - Pennsylvania is still at risk to lose ALL arts and cultural funding. You can do something about it. Join our effort to preserve state arts funding.
- Visit your legislators. Tell them cultural funding is vital for our communities and our kids.
- Send State Senator Dominic Pileggi a postcard! We have postcards for you and your children to download and decorate!
- Tell the General Assembly to make cultural funding a priority in PA.
- If you live or work in Philadelphia - or simply love Philadelphia's cultural attractions - tell your state senator and representative that the General Assembly must act quickly on legislation that would allow the city to close its budget deficit and fund the city's valuable arts and cultural institutions.
What was your first - or most memorable - arts experience as a child? Take our poll at the right side of the page!
