Three Steps You Can Take To #SaveTheArts (First Up: Social Media)

Friday, April 28, is the deadline for Congress to pass a Continuing Resolution allowing the government to continue spending money, including federal arts funding. The Administration has called on Congress to strip $30 million in funding to the NEA and the NEH in the FY17 Continuing Resolution.

Because the White House has called for cuts in federal arts funding now and for total elimination of the NEA and NEH next year, any reduction is a risk. Preventing any FY17 cuts now is the best way to ensure that funding continues in FY18.
 
Please help us to #SaveTheArts by contacting your members of Congress before the April 28 deadline and urging them to pass FY17 spending bills that maintain level federal funding for the arts in this year’s budget.
