Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance

Keep up with the 2016 Bloomberg Arts Interns

The 2016 Bloomberg Arts Internship program began July 5 with 45 interns placed within 28 cultural institutions and organizations throughout Philadelphia. These rising high school seniors, attending Philadelphia public schools, were selected to participate in the second year of the program offered by the Cultural Alliance, WorkReady and New York-based Bloomberg Philanthropies.

Through visits to cultural institutions, professional development training sessions, writing workshops, and real internship experience at worksites, the Bloomberg Arts Internship is designed to help students strengthen their professional skills, encourage exposure to arts and culture around the city, and aid in personal growth, ultimately better preparing them for the intense college application process just around the corner.

Interns will blog about their work and professional development experiences on the STAMP website

The Cultural Alliance, WorkReady, and Bloomberg Philanthropies are partnering on the second year of this paid internship program for rising high school seniors.
