School Play: It's a tough subject

Join Public Citizens for Children & Youth (PCCY) on Thursday, April 9th, at 7:30pm at the National Constitution Center for School Play, a documentary-based live theatre piece aimed at raising awareness about Pennsylvania's public education system, and the urgency of addressing it. School Play draws on interviews and quotes with a variety of citizens on all sides of the issue to begin a more meaningful conversation about the necessity of high-quality public education!

The documentary has put genuine human faces to this story to further the argument on why these issues matter. By cutting through the numbers and political arguments, we will all discover ways to make things better for our children and our communities.

School Play is intended to galvanize Pennsylvanians and spark informed conversations around school funding. This issue is critical to the cultural sector because every student should receive arts instructions as part of a complete education and early exposure to the arts is the best way to develop the audiences of the future.
