Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance

Go Forth By Phone: Arts Advocacy Day 2015 is Almost Here

On Tuesday, March 24, hundreds of arts & culture advocates will descend on Washington, DC to join in National Arts Advocacy Day. Can't make the trip? Join GroundSwell and Artistic Rebuttal Project for our second annual phone bank at the Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy at City Hall.

Why Arts Advocacy Day Matters: We need individuals like you to contact your congressperson and show the importance of developing strong public policies and continued funding for the arts! We'll provide a phone script and suggested language for emails, as well as contact information for legislators. We simply ask that you show up with a phone or laptop, ready to advocate! After you're done, enjoy a discounted coffee at La Colombe Torrefaction across the street, and continue the conversation about arts and culture!

During the phone bank you'll get to meet fellow cultural workers and art advocates, and have the chance to win some great raffle prizes including:

  • Two tickets to a Wilma Theatre 2014-2015 production (valued at $50)
  • Two tickets to Philadelphia Theatre Company's Brownsville Song by Kimber Lee
  • A copy of the latest book from Artistic Rebuttal Project
