Search for the Great American Museum AdvocateThe American Alliance of Museums is looking for the Great American Museum Advocate! The American Alliance of Museums (AAM) wants to know the most compelling story about your museum. Museums offer so much - they can be a place to learn; a place where a passion for art or science is ignited; a place of tranquility; a place where families have experiences they'll carry with them forever. Tell the AAM your most powerful visitor story and let them know how your museum changed someone's life! You can tell the story in your own words, or share a letter or picture from a visitor. The AAM will use these stories to help them select a Great American Museum Advocate, who will receive an expense-paid trip to participate in Museums Advocacy Day 2014, helping AAM make their case on Capitol Hill. From Alliance President Ford W. Bell: "We urge you to send us those stories so we can tell the real story of what goes on in museums and share the power of those experiences with our elected leaders."
