Powel and Puppets Stand up for Arts Education at City HallGroundSwell and Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) were at City Hall with a group of Powel Elementary students and parents this morning, asking City Council to get creative to find funding for our schools. The students also performed a chant for City Council Education Committee Chair Jannie Blackwell with puppets inspired by their study of terracotta warriors (which they made during a Spiral Q Puppets program at their school), and asked the Councilwoman to join them in being warriors for arts and music education:
