Cutural Alliance partners with Art-Reach to promote accessibility calendar in new commercial

The Cultural Alliance, in partnership with Art-Reach, has produced a new 30-second commercial highlighting programmatically accessible cultural events in the region available through Phillyfunguide.com.

The "Independence Starts Here" online calendar highlights entertainment events on Phillyfunguide.com that provide audio-description, American Sign Language interpretation, close-captioning, and open-captioning.

The commercial, viewable below, will be submitted to local broadcast stations in an effort to provide people with disabilities, and their friends and family, easy access to accessible arts events in the region.

Michael Norris, Executive Director of Art-Reach, added, "“Until now, we’ve been promoting the Independence Starts Here calendar mainly by web and email, so it’s great to add TV to the list of ways we are working to build awareness and audiences for accessible arts programming.”
