PNC Arts Alive Program Announces $1 Million in grants funding InnovationTwenty-seven regional arts groups with fresh ideas for increasing arts access were awarded grants of a combined $1 million last month by The PNC Foundation through the PNC Arts Alive program, a program that is a national model for corporate investment in the arts. Grantees represented a mix of large and small, and suburban and metropolitan arts organizations representing a wide-range of arts disciplines in the Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey region. Grants funded both innovative enagement strategies and family arts programming. Returning grantees were the Appel Farm Arts & Music Center, the Bay-Atlantic Symphony, Cape May Stage, Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities, Philadelphia Live Arts Festival & Philly Fringe, Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Spiral Q Puppet Theater. Additionally, the Cultural Alliance is one of six service partners who received grants to support the arts sector. Other service grantees are the Arts and Business Council of Philadelphia, ArtReach, the City of Philadelphia Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy, the South Jersey Cultural Alliance, and WHYY.
