2009-2010 Project Stream Guidelines Now Available

The 2009-2010 Project Stream grant guidelines are available, and the online application is open. Project Stream is a funding opportunity of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) that is distributed by the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts' (PPA) network of regional organizations. The Cultural Alliance is the partner that serves Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. This year's Project Stream deadline is Friday, June 19, 2009, which is two weeks earlier than the traditional last day of June/first day of July deadline.

The change in deadline allows the process to be more applicant-centered as panelists will be able to spend more time with the applications and offer even more specific feedback.  This is particularly important now as funding streams narrow and as the competition for those funds increases.  "Project Stream is often a first step, a growing step for an artist or an organization.  The feedback provided by this process is a great resource in learning how to manage public dollars for the greatest public benefit, how to design better operational plans, and how to apply well to other funders," says April Williamson, the program's manager at the Cultural Alliance.
