Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance

Research on Individual Giving in Philadelphia

The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance will soon unveil the much-anticipated findings of our most recent research study. With support from the Wyncote Foundation, for the past year we have been exploring the motivations and barriers – perceived or real – of high net-worth individuals when considering supporting arts and culture. The findings have been exciting and eye-opening and will result in new strategies for individual organizations and the sector as a whole.

The report will be released to a sold-out audience of our members’ executive directors and their board chairs on April 9 at the Pyramid Club. The event will feature Janet Haas, president of the William Penn Foundation, a presentation of the research findings, and a panel moderated by Tom McGrath of Philadelphia Magazine.

Although this event is currently sold-out with a waitlist, never fear! We are already planning opportunities for our members and other key stakeholders to provide us with feedback so that we can most effectively begin to move the needle on these issues.

The next event is planned for late May. Stay tuned!

Be sure to check back at philaculture.org/donors on April 9 to see the results of the research.
