Volunteer for 2019 Annual Meeting

Are you passionate about arts and culture in Greater Philadelphia? Do you want to connect with organizers and leaders in the sector?

The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance is currently seeking volunteers for its Annual Meeting & Reception on Monday, September 23, 2019. This is an amazing opportunity to support the Cultural Alliance's work while engaging with arts and culture professionals from throughout the region.

About the Annual Meeting

Each year, this event brings together over 400 of the city’s artists and cultural professionals - including staff and board from Cultural Alliance member organizations. This year, the Annual Meeting will feature a keynote presentation by Xavier Ramey, CEO of the social impact firm, Justice Informed, LLC, who will provide insights into how cultural institutions can promote equity by rooting it within the lens through which they engage their audiences, artists and missions.

Location

The Crystal Tea Room on the 9th floor of the Wanamaker Building, located at 100 East Penn Square.

Time Commitment

Volunteers are needed from 3:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m on Monday, September 23, 2019. When the program concludes at 6:30 p.m., volunteers are invited to stay and enjoy the post-event networking reception!

Volunteer Roles

Volunteers are needed to help set up, greet and register guests and serve as ushers. A brief volunteer orientation will be given upon arrival.

  • Set Up: Volunteers will assist in setting up for the event, including placing programs and other materials on chairs, preparing the space for different parts of the program and moving light furniture (tables and chairs).
  • Registration: Volunteers will greet guests upon arrival, check-in guests and provide them with nametags.
  • Usher: Volunteers will lead guests to presentation and reception areas, assist guests in locating facilities such as restrooms, coat-check and exits as well as assist with any general questions.
