Creative Music School seeks Admin and Event Help

We are looking for an organized, multi-tasking individual to help "backstage" in the offices of our creative, dynamic school - someone who could help with admin, billing and scheduling, as well as assist with planning music recitals and events.

The ideal person would be detail-oriented, have several years of in-office admin experience, and a passion for music and/or education. The hours and mission of this job are a great match for a parent returning to the workforce or someone looking for a part-time position in a place that makes a positive difference.

About the role: you would be behind the scenes in a dynamic educational setting, working with and supporting other team members. Projects may include signup calls, scheduling, billing, event help, assembling promotional material and occasional quirky tasks like "test out the bubble machine." The ideal candidate would be have an eye for detail, an ability to keep track of where different tasks stand in the pipeline, and a passion for finding ways to make things better - from "adding a field to registration would really help with scheduling" to "Gazillion Bubble Juice is WAY better than Miracle Bubbles." (Side note: This is in fact true.) A degree or work experience in education and/or music is needed, and the ability to write well is essential. (Musical ability is not required but is a plus!)

If this role sounds like the perfect fit for you - read on!

This role would be 20 hours per week. (4 hours per day, M-F. Exact hours and schedule are negotiable, and can be arranged upon hiring). For vacations, we generally match the school year calendar for winter break, Thanksgiving, etc. with some flex in the summer for family vacations and travel.
