Head CarpenterWalnut Street Theatre, America's oldest and the most subscribed-to theatre company in the world, is seeking an experienced Head Carpenter. WST produces a five-show main stage season consisting of three musicals and two straight plays, as well as a five-show children’s series. Primary responsibilities include: analyzing and implementing all scenic design plans; supervising scenic load-in, strike, and load-out for all mainstage shows; communicating key information to stage crew; running performances as crew; and other carpentry and scenic duties as assigned. Candidate must be able to work closely with designers, management, and other onstage departments. This is a full-time, seasonal, IATSE position with excellent salary that begins asap (with an 8-week probationary period). If not already a member of IATSE Local 8, candidate will join the union.
