Communications and Events ManagerIndependence Public Media Foundation (IPMF) is a new private foundation, created when WYBE/ MIND TV, an alternative public TV station (Channel 35 in Philadelphia), relinquished its broadcast license and received a one-time payment of $131.5 million through the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Broadcast Incentive Auction in 2017. Since then, the foundation has undertaken a strategic planning process and hired its first president. We are now ready to hire our first Communications and Events Manager. The ideal Communications and Events Manager will spotlight and support the work of the foundation’s grantees and partners, focusing on collaboration, community accessibility, and responsiveness. S/he must be flexible, easily adapting to new and changing situations. What You’ll Do:
The Communications and Events Manager will report to the President, working to further define and advance the broad strategic goals set by the Board.
Who You Are:
Salary is in the range of $60K to $75K and includes a generous benefits package. The foundation operates from a temporary WeWork office in Center City and is currently seeking permanent office space in Philadelphia. There may be some opportunity for remote work. |
