Position:            Continuing Education Site Coordinator

Reports To:       Associate Dean of Graduate, Professional and Continuing Education - Works With: Continuing Education Program Manager

Purpose:            This part-time position is responsible for on-site coordination and executional support for the operations of CE youth and adult programs.
 

Position Summary:

The Continuing Education Site Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Youth Programs Coordinator and Adult Programs Coordinator in the on-site operations of Continuing Education programing for youth and adults at Moore College of Art and Design. The Continuing Education Site Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager and Program Coordinators to facilitate high quality experiences for program participants. Successful candidates will be involved with the coordination and execution of faculty experiential orientations, program closing ceremonies, workshops, and programming to engage participants, parents, and instructors. The CE Site Coordinator will work with CE staff on site as needed.

 

This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication and customer service skills. The CE Site Coordinator is the frontline of customer service during Weeknight Evening and Saturday programing and events. This individual must exude positivity and enthusiasm when interacting with parents, faculty, students, professionals and prospective students.  

 

The ideal candidate must be a proven self-starter with outstanding organizational and charismatic networking skills with the ability to carry out efforts efficiently while coordinating multiple priorities successfully. Project/program administration or coordination and art/design background is preferred. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, and Excel. Ability to work on Saturdays during business hours, as well as two weekday evenings each session (quarterly) is essential for this position.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years non-profit administrator experience
  • Art background; familiarity with art courses and materials helpful
  • Enthusiasm for working with youth; previous experience helpful
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple demands
  • Must be a collaborative team player and also able to work independently
  • Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects through completion
  • Ability to work on Saturdays, several weekday evenings per month, and one regular business day per month

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute faculty orientations and closing program ceremonies
  • Coordinate and execute experiential programming
  • Coordinate administrative procedures for program check-in
  • Coordinate student, faculty, and educational administrative communication
  • Coordinate implementation and onsite execution of youth and adult programs
  • Work with CE staff on site as needed
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Coordinate professional networking activities and guest speakers
  • Cultivate community and onsite customer service engagement
  • Capture data and feedback at events and programing

 

Essential Functions:

  • Administer youth and adult programing
  • Provide on-site program coordination and customer support
  • Respond to and cultivate on-site program inquiries
  • Oversee on-site student check-in and pick-up processes
  • Ensure that YAW Faculty have the tools, supplies, and technology needed to run a successful class
  • Assist enrolled students and parents
  • Provide core administrative and executional support to Youth Programs Coordinator and Adult Programs Coordinator

 

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Youth Summer Sessions:                                        Monday – Friday for 5 weeks

Youth Fall & Spring Sessions:                                 Saturdays

CE Adult Fall, Winter & Spring Sessions:              6 weeknight evenings per session
