Donor Database Manager

The Donor Database manager is responsible for maintaining the Raiser’s Edge database and software.  They process gifts and members, maintain donor records, and prepare reports for the finance and development departments. She/he prepares mailing list requests from various departments. They train all new users in Raiser’s Edge (RE) and proficiently perform all functions in RE.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Use RE software to create, maintain and produce on-going queries and reports; extract and produce reports and mailings for fundraising efforts and list exchanges; list maintenance; and create specialized lists for acquisition, renewal and recapture mailings, as well as invitation lists for events. Download, import and process membership information from Siriusware database.  Communicate with supervisor regarding discrepancies and resolves discrepancies in the system by following up with Development/Finance staff.

2.       Ensure proper input and output generation in RE.  This includes reviewing or entering gifts and memberships into RE, reviewing donor demographic data, and develop & maintain proactive working relationship with Membership and Development staff.

3.       Review, analyze, update and implement procedures to ensure the accuracy of donor information in Raiser’s Edge. Perform cleanup of this information as needed. Meet with other departmental staff as needed to review their needs or discuss their issues with the database and collaborate with supervisor to determine how Raiser’s Edge can meet these needs or resolve their issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Experience:  6 years plus in database management/maintenance, knowledge of fundraising software helpful

Preferred Experience: 4 years Raisers edge or fundraising software experience, understanding of how the fundraising software is used for development purposes vs how it is used for accounting purposes and what is needed for GAAP

Minimum Education:  High School Diploma

Preferred Education: College – business degree or equivalent

Knowledge/Skills: Good organizational skills and an acute attention to detail; show initiative, intuitiveness and flexibility; but can also work within a defined set of parameters.  Must have ability to work independently and follow through.  Able to maintain database records, strong data entry skills.  Proficiency with numbers, research information, and time management; good written and verbal communications.  Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Good knowledge of Raiser’s Edge.

Salary: $20-$23/hr
