Production Coordinator - Global Cabaret Feast

Description:

The Bearded Ladies Cabaret are currently looking for a freelance production coordinator with video/broadcast experience to support the ongoing development of an overnight online broadcast using live and pre-recorded segments set to begin on the evening of October 16th and end on the afternoon of the 17th. This is in a yet to be determined location within the City of Philadelphia. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, be proactive, and possess skills in video production and/or theatrical production. Start date is August 3rd and will end on October 23rd. This is a one-time, fee-based position.

 

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • Working closely with the Bearded Ladies staff, local and remote talent, as well as onsite production staff. This position is a direct report to the Production Manager and will coordinate with the Project Director.
  • This position will be in charge of executing contracts and coordinating the filming and editing of video segments from artists from Philadelphia and around the world.
  • Help during set-up, live production, and break-down of the broadcast stage.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years’ experience supporting small to medium sized video productions.
  • Detail oriented and eager to take on a challenge.
  • Excitement about gender and identity politics in discussion and practice.
  • Must love the word “Queer”.
  • Cabaret, drag, or nightlife knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and compatible with virtual work environments.
  • The ability to both identify and creatively solve problems as they arise.
  • Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slack.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, French or German is very helpful.
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Trello, or OBS a plus.
  • On-set experience operating cameras, sound or lighting is a plus.
