Facilities and Grounds Technician | Part-timeJob Type: Part-time, 15 - 25 hours per week Job Description: The part-time Facilities and Grounds Technician will report to the Facilities and Grounds Manager to assist in the care and maintenance of Woodmere Art Museum and its grounds, located on 10 acres in Chestnut Hill. Its buildings include the main historic mansion with galleries and offices, a residential building used for storage and back-of-house activities, a carriage house art studio, and a fourth property undergoing major renovations to showcase another 14 galleries of the Woodmere permanent collection, opening November 2025. This is a position with hours that includes weekends on a consistent basis. The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to be trained to understand the Museum’s facilities, grounds, and general operations. A demonstrated passion for the arts, the work of the museums, and/or institutions of public service is preferred. Woodmere Art Museum is seeking a part-time Facilities and Grounds Assistant (15–25 hours/week) to help maintain the beauty, safety, and functionality of its historic building and grounds. This hands-on role includes general grounds keeping, light repairs, seasonal maintenance, minor carpentry and painting, and supporting event setup. The position requires weekend availability and involves regular interaction with visitors and staff. Ideal candidates will have experience with grounds keeping and minor repairs, a strong work ethic, and an interest in supporting the mission of a cultural institution. |
