Festival Intern - 34th Philadelphia Film Festival
PFS is seeking 5 seasonal interns to assist with the preparation of our 34th Philadelphia Film Festival. We have
part-time, hybrid internship positions with paid stipends in the areas of Film Festival Operations & Events, Venue
and Technical Support, Guest Relations & Marketing, Education & Community Engagement, Development
Support & Guest Services. Students who are enrolled in school can receive academic credit if school programs
permit.

Internship Overview & Objectives:
The PFS Festival Internship is an opportunity for young adults ages 18-24. In this 10-week internship (Sept. 8 - Nov. 15), interns spend 3 weeks learning about the Philadelphia Film Society, through a series of research objectives, informational interviews, job shadowing, and attending PFS programming, events and meetings. PFS Festival Interns will gain hands-on experience in festival operations, outreach, and events through the 34th Philadelphia Film Festival. Working primarily with the Education and Community Department for PFS, interns will gain practice organizing and promoting events, managing needs for special guests, content creating, video editing, handling badges and operations, assisting with field trips, communicating and meeting with partners, data tracking, and/or managing day-of needs for Festival-related and general PFS programs. Students will leave with experiential knowledge of how film can be used to inspire, educate, challenge, and entertain while bringing together various communities in and around Philadelphia.
