Senior Account Manager - Atelier Fine Art Services

Atelier Fine Art Services is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong project management skills and experienced knowledge of art services best practices, to serve as a Senior Account Manager for in our Philadelphia office. 

Atelier works closely with a clientele of museum registrars, galleries, conservators, and specialists to design custom packing solutions. We bring a deep understanding of collection stewardship to every stage of a project, from collection care to traveling exhibitions, installation, transport, and storage. The Client Services Department supports the day-to-day operation of Atelier FAS between the Philadelphia, New York, and Delaware offices. 

In this role, the Senior Account Manager is a key partner with existing and new clients, prioritizing their requests and attending to multiple projects and schedules for each client in an efficient manner. The Senior Account Manager manages a high volume of projects from start to finish as the liaison for correspondence, scheduling and monitoring project timelines, and supervising invoicing. This position requires the advanced use of spreadsheets and other forms of data management, and successful candidates will have sophisticated verbal, written, and in-person communication skills. The Senior Account Manager utilizes their industry knowledge to initiate, strategize, and plan in conjunction with their peers in other departments. As a seasoned professional within the Client Services department, they will achieve identifiable results working within a collaborative environment. There will be opportunities to engage with clients in person, on-site, assemble proposals for long-term projects, and foster strong and rewarding client relationships over time.

Atelier Fine Art Services is a full-service fine art services company with locations in New York, Philadelphia and Delaware. Atelier works directly with major cultural institutions, prominent private collections, auction houses as well as major national and international galleries. Atelier FAS has several museum-quality storage facilities on the East Coast, and employs staff in the areas of Client Services, Logistics, Operations, Art Handling, Registration, Fabrication, Storage and Security.

Salary Range:                                $60,000-$62,400
Job Type:                                       Full-Time, Salary, Monday - Friday 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Establish new clients and foster existing client relationships in the areas of museums, archives, libraries, universities, and institutions. 
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of core clients and their project needs
  • Adeptly handle complex projects and tight deadlines
  • Prioritize excellent communication with clients and internal partners in a clear, timely, and professional manner
  • Apply knowledge of best practices for fine art packing and shipping to each project
  • Work proactively with the Logistics, Estimators,  and Project Management departments to ensure that time frames are being met internally
  • Coordinate with Atelier Art Handling staff to ensure all jobs are running smoothly, in collaboration with the Logistics Department and Project Managers
  • Generate timely Calendar and Job Sheet entries for projects, working closely with the Logistics Department to ensure that information is up-to-date
  • Process data related to exhibition checklists and packing specifications and maintain digital job files on Google Drive and Zoho Drive
  • Create and track projects using Zoho Suite
  • Strategize with Client Services Directors on client outreach and business development opportunities
  • Various other day-to-day duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of art services experience demonstrating knowledge of best practices, art registration, shipping and logistics, and arts administration. 
  • BA or BFA in Fine Art; Museum Studies or comparable field of study
  • Excellent written, verbal, and in-person communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excel at working independently as well as collaboratively
  • Proficient with Mac OS, Google Suite, and knowledge of CRM, or other database experience.
  • Meticulous, detail-oriented work habits
  • Adept at handling several projects at once, giving each the attention it deserves
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven work environment
  • Fosters a genuine interest in the culture of museums and the artists and exhibitions that we work on. 
  • Ability to work with high-profile clients with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Able to commute to the Atelier Philadelphia office
