The National Liberty Museum seeks an experienced marketing and professional to lead the planning and execution of an integrated strategy that elevates the Museum’s voice, strengthens its brand identity, and—most critically—drives attendance, participation, and revenue growth.

Reporting to the President and CEO, the Director of Marketing & Communications will serve as the central hub for NLM to integrate consistent messaging across all channels and be the communications strategist. This role will focus on maximizing the Museum’s visibility and relevance in the marketplace, developing innovative strategies to attract new audiences, increase ticket sales, expand program participation, and generate sustained earned revenue. Communications and the development of high-quality content that supports fundraising, engagement, and institutional visibility will remain a top priority, directly tied to revenue and attendance objectives.

The Director will oversee communications, public relations, advertising, website, marketing analytics, and social media efforts. They will collaborate across all Museum departments to create compelling collateral, increase sales and fundraising results, and coordinate internal and external marketing efforts, whether managed in-house or through third-party providers. This role requires grit and determination, but with that comes the reward of an unparalleled opportunity to drive attendance and revenue while shaping the Museum’s trajectory from regional recognition to national impact.
