Work with your hands! Seeking an experienced workshop assistantVinylux is an independent design and fabrication company located in Germantown. Our product line incorporates upcycled vinyl records and includes coasters, journals, bowls, framed records, clocks and so much more! Take a look at: We have been making cool innovative, upcycled products for over 20 years and our customers range from small independent retailers to major music industry clients. Our love for music, vinyl, and well-crafted products is at the heart of our business. Vinylux is committed to environmentally responsible production - we employ sustainable manufacturing practices, minimal packaging, and we repurpose over 30 tons of discarded records every year! On-the-job training is provided as you learn to work with unique equipment, materials, and processes that include CNC routing, laser cutting, vinyl plotting, strip bending, thermoforming, and laminating. Our workshop culture is calm and steady - we create our carefully crafted products at a steady and reasonable pace. An ability to focus and follow detailed instructions, communicate clearly, work efficiently and semi-independently is essential. As we continue to grow our business, opportunities exist for job growth and increased compensation for candidates who wish to grow with us! Vinylux is looking for a full-time workshop assistant to work in our hands-on production facility in Germantown. You will assist in making our unique line of upcycled vinyl record products. Processes include a combination of machine fabrication and hand assembly. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a fabrication environment. |
