Manager of Adult EducationReports to: Director of Education Position Classification: Exempt, Full-time Work Location: Onsite ________________________________________________________________________________________ Position Summary The Manager of Adult Education plays a key role in planning, designing, and delivering Fleisher’s adult programs, which are offered across four seasonal terms each year. This position is responsible for the overall strategy, quality, and day-to-day management of adult visual arts education at Fleisher. Reporting to the Director of Education and working in close collaboration with education staff and teaching faculty, the Manager ensures that Fleisher’s adult programming is inclusive, engaging, and responsive to the interests and needs of a diverse community of adult learners. This role supervises the Coordinator of Education, who provides essential logistical and administrative support for all education programs. They also oversee a large, multidisciplinary team of teaching artists who represent a wide range of artistic practices, teaching styles, and cultural perspectives. The Manager facilitates regular communication and community-building with faculty, proactively addressing challenges and celebrating successes to strengthen relationships, foster a positive teaching culture, and ensure long-term faculty engagement and retention. In addition to stewarding Fleisher’s long-standing foundational offerings, the Manager of Adult Education takes a forward-thinking, audience-centered approach to program development, identifying opportunities to expand Fleisher’s reach through new courses, formats, and collaborations that reflect contemporary practices and emerging interests.
