This position offers hands-on mentorship and professional development, while allowing you to help shape the artistic vision of a growing performance group. While we are not a fully choreographed ensemble, we embrace movement as a core part of performance storytelling. The role of movement varies from subtle, natural staging to full choreography, depending on the song, video concept, or live performance. This could mean anything from gentle, expressive body awareness techniques (ideal for someone with a yoga or movement coaching background) to fully choreographed numbers for music videos or high-energy performances. This role is a great fit for someone with any level of movement expertise, whether you are a dancer, choreographer, movement specialist, yoga practitioner, stage director, or multidisciplinary performer who also has vocal ability.
About the Role The Visual Performance Coordinator will develop movement, staging, and artistic direction for Noteworthy Philadelphia’s live performances and video productions. They will collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Music Program Associate(s), Videographer, and Audio Engineer to enhance the group’s overall performance aesthetic. This role combines elements of movement coaching, choreography, and interdisciplinary collaboration. If you have a background in movement arts, dance, spatial performance design, or creative staging, and are excited about blending movement with vocal performance, this is the perfect opportunity to contribute your skills in a meaningful way.

About Noteworthy Philadelphia Noteworthy Philadelphia is a community-based music enrichment nonprofit dedicated to using music to brighten lives, foster connections, and build community. Our members are talented vocalists in their 20s and 30s, performing across Philadelphia and beyond to create meaningful, memorable musical experiences. We have previously collaborated with movement artists, stage designers, and interdisciplinary performers to create visually engaging performances, and we are excited to continue expanding our artistic collaborations.
