SPRING - Arts Administration Intern

The Arts Administration Intern will work closely with the Managing Director to support the financial and administrative operations of the organization. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit arts administration, including budgeting, finance, human resources, facilities, and compliance. 

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with accounts payable, credit card expenses, and petty cash processing
  • Supporting the maintenance and updating of budgeting & forecasting spreadsheets
  • Generating departmental financial reports
  • Collecting, organizing, and maintaining HR onboarding and personnel documents
  • Assisting with bi-weekly payroll timesheet tracking and review
  • Scanning, filing, and organizing vendor and administrative records
  • Reviewing and assisting with insurance, tax, and compliance-related documents 
  • Supporting inventory tracking and ordering of office and facility supplies
  • Providing general administrative and inter-departmental support as needed

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills
  • An affinity for numbers and a love of logic puzzles
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive)
  • Interest in nonprofit operations and behind-the-scenes arts administration
  • Preferred coursework or experience in arts administration, business management, finance, accounting, or a related field

While this internship is unpaid, college credit is available depending on the intern’s college program. FringeArts will provide interns with a $200 travel stipend to be used for transportation costs.

 

Internship dates may be flexible, with a minimum of 12 weeks. Hours per week range from 18-20 hours. Occasional weekend hours and evening hours may be requested for events. Please note we are a dog-friendly office!
