JOB DESCRIPTION: The Audience Engagement Program Coordinator provides logistical, creative and administrative support to the Audience Engagement (AE) team. The employee is responsible for supporting Audience Engagement events from concept to execution, including research related to event concepts, creation and implementation of new programs, administrative and logistical tasks associated with all aspects of an event, setup and breakdown and on-the-ground event support. AE is continuing to grow, and this role will be a significant part of expanding new events and reimagining current ones to remain innovative. The Event Coordinator role at Winterthur is available as a secondary, part-time position open to hourly employees. Compensation: $20.70 Work Schedule: 2-3 days per week; weekends and evenings are required Responsibilities:
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Experience: 1 year of experience in administrative work and/or event logistics with a HS diploma or equivalent Preferred Experience: : 1-2 years of experience coordinating logistics for events with a BA or BS in business management; program administration; museum studies; hospitality or related fields Knowledge/Skills:
Essential Functions: 1. Able to lift 50 lbs. 2. Must be able to be stationary for long periods of time outside, occasionally 8+ hours for event days and during challenging weather conditions 3. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to pass defensive driving class 4. Must be willing to be trained on and able to drive a golf cart 5. Exposure to adverse weather conditions during outside events 6. Must be able talk and communicate sufficiently to exchange accurate information with internal Winterthur teams, outside vendors and guests
Must be available evenings and weekends (and some holidays), particularly during major events including Artisan Market week (mid-July), Discover Winterthur (time period rotates each year), Holiday Market weekend
