Audience Service Manager

The Audience Service Manager plays a critical role in helping the Cultural Alliance fulfill our mission of leading, strengthening and amplifying the voices of Philadelphia’s arts and cultural community. The Cultural Alliance advances that mission through initiatives that build support for arts and culture, grow and connect with audiences and promote diversity.

The Audience Service Manager position is an opportunity to develop leadership, project management and audience building skills in a wide range of activities, including managing sales for the various programs, developing marketing strategies, and leading audience building initiatives. This position implements strategies to meet earned income and audience development goals for the Cultural Alliance and its member nonprofits.

The Audience Service Manager is a vital role in the Audience Engagement department, works closely with the Assistant Manager of Digital Marketing and directly reports to the Vice President of Audience Engagement.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

Advertising

  • Manage advertising for the Cultural Alliance’s various programs 
  • Assist in developing annual advertising strategy for the organization
  • Garner new partnerships and work closely with the Vice President of Audience Engagement in obtaining new clients
  • Facilitate training sessions for member organizations to utilize the Cultural Alliance’s marketing platform
  • Work closely with the Assistant Manager of Digital Marketing in selecting top performing Funsavers for weekly newsletters
  • Develop a strategy to increase and promote the sale of Funsaver offers
  • Provide benchmark data to clients from Phillyfunguide and Funsavers
  • Benchmark the Phillyfunguide and Funsavers programs against arts marketing portals in other cities and online marketing systems in other sectors
  • Explore analytics to evaluate Phillyfunguide & Funsavers effectiveness
  • Explore audience segmentation and analysis to develop sales and marketing strategies. 

 

Project Management

  • Manage the Accessibility and Diversity Initiative of the Phillyfunguide and Funsavers Program
  • Develop messaging and marketing strategies for Accessibility and Diversity cohort
  • Assist in implementing the Marketing Affinity Group for the Cultural Alliance
  • Assist in the creation of workshops on marketing and audience-building for arts and culture 

 

Skills & Experience

A Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of marketing and sales experience, or a combination of relevant education and experience are required for this position. The Audience Service Manager must be a team player who possesses strong marketing, sales, project management, communication and record-keeping skills. A high level proficiency in attention to detail and commitment to deadlines. A working knowledge of SEO/SEM, Google Adwords and Google Analytics. Must have experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) and Marketing Cloud (or similar Email Service Provider such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc).

This position is full-time.
