By the Numbers

Philadelphia’s role in the 2026 FIFA World Cup is poised to be a major economic driver for both the city and the Commonwealth—generating $770M in impact, $51M in state tax revenue, and 6,615 jobs. Notably, nearly 70% of visitors aren’t expected to attend matches, instead engaging with events tied to FIFA and the Semiquincentennial.

This presents a powerful opportunity for arts and culture through side and counter-programming to reach global audiences. We’ll explore what this means—and how to prepare—at the Cultural Alliance’s Data Summit on June 9.
