The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance Opens Applications for Entry to Program Stream
November 30, 2021 (PHILADELPHIA, PA) – Today, the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance (“Cultural Alliance”), the re-granting administrator for the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (PCA) in the 5-county Philadelphia region, announced a new funding program, Entry to Program Stream, which provides general operating support to small nonprofit and fiscally-sponsored organizations (budgets under $200,000) in the Greater Philadelphia region that conduct consistent arts programming or services.
To be eligible for Entry to Program Stream, applicants:
“Entry to Program Stream is an important new opportunity for small arts and culture organizations in the Philadelphia region to receive general operating support, which continues to be so critical in navigating the effects of COVID-19,” said Priscilla M. Luce, Interim President and CEO of the Cultural Alliance. “This new program reflects PCA’s responsiveness to ongoing needs while also, providing an important pipeline for consistent general operating support through its Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts. The Cultural Alliance looks forward to supporting this program on behalf of the Commonwealth.”
Eligible organizations may apply to Entry to Program Stream each year with the aim of qualifying for Program Stream, the long-standing statewide initiative that provides ongoing support for arts programming/services at a higher average grant amount. Organizations can qualify for Program Stream after consistently receiving funds through Entry to Program Stream, receiving good panel assessments, and fulfilling grant award requirements. This new program is funded by the PCA, a state agency under the Office of the Governor, and administered regionally by Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA), PCA’s statewide network of re-granting partners. The Cultural Alliance serves as the PCA’s PPA partner organization for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
The deadline to apply for Entry to Program Stream is February 15, 2022. The Cultural Alliance will hold a virtual information session on Monday, December 13 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. for prospective applicants to learn about the process, followed by a mini grant-writing workshop. The session will be recorded and made available for those who are unable to attend.
