The Major Gift Officer for Klein College of Media and Communication, reporting to the Assistant Dean for the College, is responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major donor prospects ($50,000+) to the College. The Major Gift Officer will secure funds for Klein by managing a portfolio of assigned donors, representing the College and Temple University at large, and establishing connections between donors’ philanthropic interests and the priorities of Klein College of Media and Communications and Temple.  

The Major Gift Officer must be a highly energetic, organized, flexible and enthusiastic professional with a proven track record of closing major gifts of $50K+, and must be comfortable working autonomously, achieving performance-related metric goals, building donor relationships, working collaboratively and strategically with colleagues, and possessing a strong knowledge of the principles, ethics and practices of successful fund raising. 

Assistant Director of Stewardship

Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Development, the Assistant Director of Stewardship is responsible for strategic stewardship at Tyler in the Development and Alumni Engagement Office. This position is responsible for supplemental gift acknowledgment at the school level in coordination with central Institutional Advancement Gift Accounting, as well as collaborating on Tyler donor recognition events. The Assistant Director of Stewardship also coordinates with Tyler’s Director of Development, Finance office, and central Institutional Advancement regarding pledge statements and endowment reports. In addition, the Assistant Director of Stewardship collaborates with Tyler Development field staff and other internal departments to report to donors on the use of gifts, to arrange meetings between donors and beneficiaries, to participate in the cultivation of new pledges in collaboration with gift officers (as appropriate), and to help celebrate gifts. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and growing a stewardship plan for Tyler.

Glen Foerd is looking for Visitor Services Assistants to steward the museum during public visitation hours and during private, catered events. 

Visitor Services Assistants’ duties are two-fold: welcoming the general public for self-guided tours, and supervising vendors and partners when Glen Foerd is rented for private events. The majority of these events are weddings, taking place on weekends. Wedding guests are not only event attendees, but potential return visitors, and Visitor Services Assistants act as hospitable representatives for Glen Foerd while stewarding the site.

Visitor Services Assistants must be reliable, independent, detail-oriented, and confident, as they are often the only Glen Foerd staff represented at private events. They should be prepared to handle problems that may arise, such as excessive noise levels and general misconduct. The Visitor Services Assistant is responsible for seeing that Glen Foerd policies are followed, ensuring that the museum and collection are treated respectfully, and making sure that the site is clean and secure at the end of the night.

Under the supervision of Fleisher’s Director of Communications, the Digital Communications Manager collaborates effectively with all departments to help guide Fleisher’s efforts in all communications, with particular focus on social media strategy, graphic design, and departmental communications.

The Digital Communications Manager is responsible for managing Fleisher’s social media calendar and content, developing new strategies for campaigns and initiatives to expand reach. Beyond managing content, the Digital Communications Manager also contributes creative content in the form of graphic design, supplemental photography, and video. This position plays a key role in developing efficient systems for organization and collaboration on SharePoint (Microsoft Office365) as well as providing key support in adding quarterly educational and program schedules to Fleisher’s website (in collaboration with the Director of Communications and the Registrar).

The office is responsible for ensuring that the financial aspects of sponsored projects are developed in compliance with sponsor guidelines and in coordination with the university’s central offices, while maintaining high-quality support to faculty. The office also supports administrative requirements for proposal submission and contract management.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for pre-award administration, including but not limited to: assisting in the preparation of grant applications and budgets, tracking the progress through submission, and assisting in other pre-award activity. You will assist in researching best practices at the college level, as we continually improve our practices to provide exceptional service to faculty and other partners. On behalf of faculty and our college, you will routinely interact with sponsor contacts, the university’s central offices, and collaborating institutions, as needed.
