September 21, 2021 (PHILADELPHIA, PA) The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance (Cultural Alliance), today announced that Patricia (Patty) Wilson Aden has been appointed by the Board of Directors as its next president and CEO. The appointment of Aden concludes the Cultural Alliance’s comprehensive 12-month national search and welcomes a highly respected and transformational arts and culture leader back to Philadelphia.

Maud Lyon to Retire as President & CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance

June 12, 2020 (PHILADELPHIA, PA) – The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance (GPCA), today announced that Maud Lyon will retire as President and CEO, effective July 31.  She will begin transitioning her role and responsibilities to Priscilla M. Luce, a non-profit consultant, and President of The Albert M. Greenfield Foundation, who has been appointed by the GPCA Board of Directors as Interim President and CEO, beginning July 1.

Philadelphia Cultural Fund Receives $1.3 Million Budget Increase

Plans Include Reinstating Youth Arts Enrichment Grants for Philly Students

PHILADELPHIA—June 20, 2014—Philadelphia's arts and cultural sector can officially claim a win on the FY2015 budget for the Philadelphia Cultural Fund. On June 19, City Council approved an amended FY2015 city budget that includes a $1.3 million increase for PCF grantmaking, bringing its budget for grantmaking to $2.9 million and its total budget to $3.14 million. Mayor Nutter is expected to sign the budget into law within the next two weeks.

Cultural Alliance President Tom Kaiden Stepping Down in July

Philadelphia, PA – After 12 years with the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, the last 3 as President, Tom Kaiden will be stepping down at the end of July to accept a new position as the Chief Operating Officer of the Alexandria (Virginia) Conference & Visitors Association.
