The Morris Arboretum & Gardens of the University of Pennsylvania, located in Chestnut Hill, is looking for an Event/Wedding Supervisor to be the on-site manager for evening events during the remainder of the 2025 season.

Do you have an interest in science and engaging students in meaningful STEM learning?  Historic Germantown, a partnership of 20 Historic sites and cultural organizations in Northwest Philadelphia, is currently seeking Educators for the hands-on learning programs History Hunters and Science Sleuths, as well guiding tours at several of the historic sites. 

The Wagner Free Institute of Science seeks a part-time Children’s Educator, available to work 25-30 hours/week. This position works as part of the Education Department to develop and implement school-based outreach programs serving neighborhood K-8 students, including the award-winning GeoKids program, an intensive hands-on science program for local elementary schools. GeoKids is a yearlong school day program, now in its 33rd year, which relies on collaborative relationships with teachers, university partners and organizations across the city to create and deliver a hands-on science curriculum. The program takes place primarily within school classrooms and includes out-of-school field experiences, designed and facilitated by Wagner educators. The Wagner’s outreach programs require a skilled educator with an understanding of science and teaching. We encourage individuals from racially marginalized communities to apply because we believe having a staff that reflects the community we serve is critical to our ability to be culturally responsive. 

As a member of the Children’s Education department, this educator will be part of a team of educators that facilitate museum programming for children and families. In addition to GeoKids, these programs include school field trips, museum engagement activities, Family Science Saturdays and Wagner to Go. The Children’s Educator supports the promotion of Wagner programming to the community and represents the museum in community based and citywide outreach events. All Wagner staff are trained to engage museum visitors, work in a historic site and are key to keeping the collection accessible.

Bartram’s Garden seeks to fill a Seasonal Assistant position to work in support of the Garden’s Southwest Tree Program.  This program works in unison with the Southwest Tree Program and its accompanying high school youth intern cohort, the ROOTS Tree Crew. The Seasonal Tree Program Assistant’s responsibilities include general tree work and maintenance throughout Southwest Philadelphia, logistical and operational support of the ROOTS Tree Crew, and additional administrative and data entry tasks.  

Duties and Responsibilities

Woodmere Art Museum is seeking a part-time Facilities and Grounds Assistant (15–25 hours/week) to help maintain the beauty, safety, and functionality of its historic building and grounds. This hands-on role includes general grounds keeping, light repairs, seasonal maintenance, minor carpentry and painting, and supporting event setup. The position requires weekend availability and involves regular interaction with visitors and staff. Ideal candidates will have experience with grounds keeping and minor repairs, a strong work ethic, and an interest in supporting the mission of a cultural institution.

Position Overview:

 The Accounting Assistant is an entry-level position in the organization’s Finance team that supports Finance team members with routine administrative and basic accounting tasks. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Support the Finance team’s Contract and Administration Manager by reviewing vendor support documentation for completeness to ensure they meet vendor invoicing requirements. Supported program include PHS’s Workforce Development and Landcare programs, and others, as needed.

Arts & Culture Program Assistant

Glen Foerd is a dynamic cultural institution committed to enriching our community through arts, culture, and environmental education. As a Program Assistant within our Arts & Culture Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our programs.        

Glen Foerd seeks energetic, outgoing individuals to assist with our summer kayaking programs on a part-time, seasonal basis. On-Water Kayaking Assistants will aid with 2-hour excursions on the Poquessing Creek and Delaware River. Excursions run Saturdays and Sundays, depending on the tides, beginning in mid-May through mid-October. Assistants may also act as a chase boat driver when not assisting on the trip via kayak. This is a part-time, seasonal position that reports to the Environmental Program Manager, Environmental and On-Water Program Coordinator/Educator, and works collaboratively with all Glen Foerd staff and volunteers.
