Arts & Culture COVID-19 Resources
Below you’ll find up-to-date resources on operating arts and culture organizations on city, state and federal government guidelines:
Philadelphia-Specific Guidelines and Resources:
- The City of Philadelphia announced April 22, 2022 that residents and visitors are strongly encouraged, but not required, to wear a mask in indoor public spaces. This change follows a recent leveling-off of case counts and a decrease in COVID-19 hospitalizations in the City. This change is effective immediately following the Board of Health's vote on April 21, 2022 to rescind the requirement. Businesses and other institutions are allowed to be more strict than the City’s COVID-19 policies, so some businesses may require proof of vaccination or require that everyone wears a mask. Schools may set their own mask policies and it is strongly encouraged that students and teachers continue to keep each other safe by wearing a mask. Masks will continue to be required in healthcare settings and congregate settings such as nursing homes and shelters. Read more in the City's Press Release.
- The city holds occasional virtual press briefings to provide an update on COVID-19 and the City’s response. You can find recordings of previous briefings as well as livestreams for upcoming briefings on the Philadelphia Department of Public Health's YouTube channel.

The Montgomery County Recovery Office is currently accepting both ideas and projects on ways to use ARP recovery funds. The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance encourages our member organizations based in Montgomery County to submit their own projects to the Montgomery County Recovery Office for consideration. Projects can be submitted through the Montgomery County Recovery Office's website: https://www.montcopa.org/3821/Recovery-Office. The submissions portal is open through the end of April, and Montgomery County has hired analysts to create a rubric score system. Submissions will be reviewed by staff and possibly community members. Plans will be released for public comment in May, and commissioners are scheduled to vote on ideas in June. Please email the recovery office directly at recoveryoffice@montcopa.org with any questions.
