April 30th Petition Follow-up

On April 30th the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance and advocates from around Pennsylvania spent the day in Harrisburg meeting with state legislators.

Fourteen advocates from our region, together with a dozen or more folks from other parts of the Commonwealth, met with more than 40 State Senators and Representatives to talk about arts and culture funding in the FY2013 as well as other issues of concern to our sector.

Philadelphia History Museum Has Phase One Reopening on February 15th

With the completion of a major interior renovation and updating of its 1826 historic building, the Philadelphia History Museum at the Atwater Kent (15 South 7th Street) opened two newly installed galleries this week. The galleries are free and open to the public. This first part of a multi-phased reopening includes two exhibitions, along with a welcoming foyer and lobby area. Hours of operation will be 11 am-4 pm, Wednesday through Saturday.
