Cultural Alliance staff members join Team Peggy to help fight cancer

A group of current and former Cultural Alliance staff joined other friends and family of Peggy Amsterdam at the 2010 Boston Marathon® Jimmy Fund Walk on September 12, 2010. "Team Peggy" raised over $11,000 to support cancer research and treatment at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, where the Cultural Alliance's late President received treatment and participated in a clinical trial.

Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) has joined with Phillyfunguide to create a month-long celebration titled "Celebrate Arts & Aging" to offer seniors dozens of discounts on admission to cultural and arts venues; workshops and classes; and exhibits of senior art. One of the many talented artists whose work is on display is Russell O'Neal. A former policeman and a father of five, Russell O'Neil, 78, began painting about 30 years ago when he was unable to pursue his carving hobby.

You can't help but like Doug Seiler, the tall, laid back architect with an easy smile and a boyish look (despite his less-than-full head of hair) who has been working in Norristown since 1998. He is a principal at Seiler + Drury; the firm is housed in a smart looking, quaint building on the corner of Swede and DeKalb Streets in the heart of the town.
