The Art of Asking Questions

How do you debrief activities, promote dialogue, and prompt critical thinking as an educator or facilitator? This session explores the different kinds of questions we can ask and ways to engage participants in inquiry-based activities that spark creativity, hypothesizing, and reflection. Deepen the discussion at your meetings or in your classes, workshops, and trainings by practicing the art of asking questions.

National Arts Marketing, Development, & Ticketing Conference

The game-changing resources and breakthrough technologies now becoming available to arts professionals are without precedent.  Those who take advantage of these opportunities and know-how will thrive; those that don’t will be left behind.

The National Arts Marketing, Development and Ticketing Conference, featuring the new Wallace Foundation Report “The Road To Results,” will focus on the myriad ways your organization can benefit from the latest resources and technologies that others are using to gain, retain, and upgrade patrons.

Your team holds the keys to unlocking winning engagement strategies, and their effective collaboration is paramount to overall success!

We have built team-building workshops into the program, and have structured the tuition prices so that it will be easy for you to come as a team.  Register by January 31 and bring two colleagues for FREE (3-for-1). Teams get the most benefit from the conference, since they return to their company with the same knowledge base, ready to roll up their collective sleeves and put the new strategies to work immediately. Plus, if you can’t attend the entire conference, you can transfer your registration to someone else in your organization for the times when you can’t be there.

Also, receive a Free Design Makeover when you register by January 31.  Henry Ruddle, who produces the popular series of Master Class Webinars for Arts Reach called Expert Eye for the Marketing Guy (or Gal), will provide concrete suggestions for improvement, including a design makeover, for your organization's season brochure, postcards, ads, posters, website, e-blasts, or social media content.

Make sure to register early as space is limited.

2015 Annual Conference

The Association of Arts Administration Educators represents college and university graduate and undergraduate programs in arts administration, encompassing training in the management of visual, performing, literary, media, cultural and arts service organizations.

The Association, moreover, encourages its members to pursue, publish, present, and disseminate research in arts management and administration to strengthen the understanding of arts management issues in the academic and professional fields.

The theme for this year’s event is Educator Impact: Framing Arts Administration Education in a Dynamic Field. This conference will create an informative, reflective, and transformational space to explore the influence, power, and potential of educators in arts administration–both as part of educational settings and in the field at large.
