Working within the Registrar’s Office, the Media Preparation Specialist is an important team member, responsible for collections care, including item-level check-ins and media preparation. This position offers the right candidate a unique opportunity to be immersed in a resource-rich environment at a fast-growing company. The position is first shift, 8am-4pm, M-F, 40/hrs week. The pay rate starts at $20 hourly, depending on experience.

The Pharmacy Museum Research Assistant supports the Marvin Samson Museum for the History of Pharmacy’s mission by conducting historical research, researching and cataloging the collection, assisting with exhibit development, and contributing to educational programming related to pharmacy history and practice. This role combines elements of museum work, pharmaceutical knowledge, historical research and scholarly work.

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine with historical research in a museum setting, contributing to the preservation and interpretation of pharmacy history for public education and engagement.

This is a part-time position at about 20 hours/week. This position is effective for a one year term.

Job Description 

The Manager of Interpretation and Engagement is responsible for managing all of Wyck’s public programs, including History Hunters, public festivals, tour groups, and open hours.  The position includes adherence to Wyck’s interpretive mission, staff and volunteer coordination for programs, and evaluation.  The Manager of Interpretation and Engagement will attend meetings of the Collections Committee, Development Committee, Membership & Visitation Committee, and Young Friends of Wyck.

The Manager of Interpretation and Engagement will also work with the Executive Director, Development Committee, and other staff and volunteers to implement various aspects of Wyck’s annual fundraising efforts.

Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site (ESPHS) seeks outgoing, engaging and passionate people for the position of Night Tours Educator. This position greets and directs visitors and supports hands-on programming that encourages reflection on the penitentiary's history and legacy of criminal justice reform. Activities and tours aim to prompt conversation on issues of justice today.

Glen Foerd seeks energetic, outgoing individuals to assist with our summer kayaking programs on a part-time, seasonal basis. On-Water Kayaking Assistants will aid with 2-hour excursions on the Poquessing Creek and Delaware River. Excursions run Saturdays and Sundays, depending on the tides, beginning in mid-May through mid-October. Assistants may also act as a chase boat driver when not assisting on the trip via kayak. This is a part-time, seasonal position that reports to the Environmental Program Manager, Environmental and On-Water Program Coordinator/Educator, and works collaboratively with all Glen Foerd staff and volunteers.

The Opportunity

Glen Foerd seeks an energetic On-Water Program Coordinator to support its environmental programs. The On-Water Program Coordinator will directly manage the kayaking and other on-water programs, and in conjunction with the Environmental Program Manager, will oversee, schedule and help train seasonal employees as well. This full-time, year-round position will report to the Environmental Program Manager. 

Glen Foerd is seeking a Seasonal, Part-Time Event Supervisor to oversee the historic property during private, catered events and to provide oversight of all Visitor Services Assistants (VSA’s). The Event Supervisor will report to the Business Manager.   More details on work hours can be found below.

The Event Supervisor handles all issues with the facility that may arise during the event. At the end of the night, the Event Supervisor locks up and ensures that the mansion and grounds are closed. Because the Event Supervisor is the only Glen Foerd staff on-site during evening events, he/she must be reliable, independent, and have a strong attention to detail. As the manager on-site, the Event Supervisor ensures that the rental client, catering staff and all third-party vendors always adhere to Glen Foerd’s policies and procedures, including clean-up and noise level requirements. As such, Event Supervisors must be self-confident and comfortable addressing issues directly.  

Glen Foerd seeks an energetic Environmental Program Manager to manage its environmental programs and work directly with youth and the public throughout the year. The Environmental Program Manager will manage the full-time On-Water Coordinator as well as seasonal employees and will report to Glen Foerd’s Executive Director.
