The ability to communicate well and clearly is an increasingly valued and necessary competency for organizational and professional success and an absolute essential for those whose work includes marketing their organizations to the media and other key audiences.
We communicate with a variety of people in the workplace every day – peers, superiors, subordinates, clients, and board members – and all of these people can help or hinder our work. As communications options continue to grow and morph, we need to make choices, not only about what to communicate, but also about how to communicate our messages. Understanding how most effectively to communicate and using the most appropriate communication vehicle is essential to success, and this course will help you learn to adapt to different communication styles, overcome barriers to communication, and develop approaches for dealing with resistance to ideas or proposals.
