Position Overview

The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance was founded in 1972 and is one of the nation’s best-known and most effective arts service organizations. We operate in five counties surrounding Philadelphia and also serve southern New Jersey and Northern Delaware as part of our metropolitan region.  We have over 450 nonprofit and for-profit members, but the Alliance serves the entire cultural sector – over 1,500 performing arts, visual arts, history, science, horticulture, arts education, community art centers, and other cultural organizations.

Performance Garage, a non-profit dance center and theater in Philadelphia, in its 21st year of serving the Philadelphia dance community, seeks a dedicated, organized full-time Managing Director.  The Performance Garage serves as a home for dance artists and dance making with classes, rehearsals, and intimate performances.

The Membership Coordinator plays an integral role in delivering high value to our members. As a member of a team, this individual’s management and coordination of operational activities is vital to the execution of programs, initiatives, and day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated and highly organized, customer-focused and has the aptitude to work as part of a strong team, maintaining a positive and constructive attitude.

Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (PVLA) seeks an Executive Director to lead PVLA into the next chapter of its storied existence. Working with its committed Board, the Executive Director will implement an ambitious, sustainable vision for PVLA’s continued success, empower its volunteer team, cultivate and enhance relationships with donors, and provide overall organizational leadership.

InLiquid Remote Internship Program

As times are changing,  InLiquid continues to offer their Internship Program on a work-from-home basis. This program will continue to offer the experience of working in a non-profit arts organization and be part of its planning process in virtual programs and exhibitions.

Theatre Philadelphia is seeking an Executive Director to serve as the leader and chief administrative officer of a $400,000 organization.  The Executive Director (ED) acts as both the day-to-day manager of the work and the public face of the organization. The ED is the lead fundraiser and strategist, working with two staff members, a board of directors, and over 100 volunteers to develop and achieve the organization’s goals. Duties include crafting a strategic plan, prospecting and managing institutional and individual funder relationships, building connections with the leadership of our theatre community, managing finances, and serving as producer for the Barrymore Awards Ceremony and Celebration. The ED must be equal parts community organizer, administrator, entrepreneurial executive, and enthusiastic spokesperson. 

The Director of Development & Board Liaison position is an opportunity to hone leadership, project management and fundraising skills in a wide range of activities, including developing institutional funding strategies and proposals, cultivating individual donors and managing board activities. This position advances the Cultural Alliance’s mission and programs by implementing strategies to meet the organization’s contributed income goals.
