Traveling Science Show Educator

The Franklin Institute

The TSS Educator performs science education shows for schools, museum visitors, summer camps, and other organizations. During the school year, the TSS Educator will devote 80% of his/her time to performing shows and the other 20% to administrative tasks. During the summer months, the TSS Educator will divide his/her time between instruction, performing shows, and coordinating activities.   

The TSS Educator must have a BA/BS, preferably in science or science education, preferably physics, chemistry or a related hard science. Experience in teaching, public speaking or theater helpful. Excellent public speaking skills necessary; experience with the Traveling Science department also helpful. Must enjoy driving and working with children.   

Full-Time, working weekdays with occasional evenings and weekends.
