The American Philosophical Society, founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1743 and, today, the oldest and most distinguished learned society in the United States, seeks an entrepreneurial, ambitious, and results-driven Director of Development to help usher the Society into its next chapter.  The successful candidate will be joining the Society at an exciting time. The Society is on the cusp of launching its first campaign in almost two decades, and it is looking for the right person to lead a successful campaign and expand the Society’s fundraising abilities.

The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance was founded in 1972 and is one of the nation’s best-known and most effective arts service organizations. We operate in five counties surrounding Philadelphia and also serve southern New Jersey and Northern Delaware as part of our metropolitan region.  We have nearly 400 nonprofit and for-profit members, but the Alliance serves the entire cultural sector – over 1,500 performing arts, visual arts, history, science, horticulture, arts education, community art centers, and other cultural organizations. 

The department of Community Programs and Inclusion at Please Touch Museum develops and delivers accessible, mission-driven programming that connects diverse communities to the Museum through play-based learning experiences. Members of the Department of Community Programs and Inclusion facilitate and develop Journey Together programs, field trips, and general museum programming. Journey Together is a grant funded program exclusively for children, ages 8 months to 5 years old, and their caretakers. This position will require an experienced knowledge of the value of learning through play.

This role offers a unique opportunity to be a part of Philadelphia’s historic celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, located in the heart of Old City right next to Independence Hall.

The exhibition for the 2026 season is These Truths: The Declarations of Independence, which runs from April 10, 2026 to January 3, 2027. This exhibition explores how Americans used, reproduced, and understood the Declaration during the first fifty years of its history. Featuring rare printings of the Declaration, along with other manuscripts, paintings, letters, and artifacts will be on view for visitors to learn how the document was drafted, printed, and spread across the new nation.

Partners for Sacred Places seeks a candidate for the full-time position of Technical Assistance Associate of the National Fund for Sacred Places. The Technical Assistance Associate will work in close collaboration with the Senior Director of the National Fund and the Technical Assistance Coordinator to track and provide technical assistance to National Fund grantees.
